Pocket Full of Crayons

Getting settled into my seat this morning at church, I see a....

Dad: Navy bow-tie, gingham collared shirt, gold wedding ring, multitasking
Little Sister: Brown hair pushed out of her face by her self made plastic ribbon headband, smocked dress
Little Brother: Completely in his own world, holding sisters hand
Big Brother: All of 7 years old, right foot in a mini red cast propped up in his kid sized wheelchair, being wheeled down the aisle by his dad

Dad gets them situated in the row ahead of me.
He reaches in his pant pocket and pulls out at least 20 crayons. A variety of colors. No box. No plastic baggy. Just a pocket full of crayons.

What conclusion did I draw from this family spilling into the row ahead?

Their mom must be a flight attendant.

  1. Which one was you? My conclusions are: you were actually the Little sister in this one holding the little brother's had. Becuase "our" little sister never would have held little brother's hand, much less sleep in her bed when he had a bad dream. The one in the cast had to be "our" little sister. She is the only one who has ever had a cast!! The crayons in the pocket remind me of the story of your dad's office move, with a sweet baby girl helper. No extra diapers, and an empty bottle. No wait, wasn't there some watered down sprite?? Love love you!!
