Our windows are open. I can hear police sirens, a trumpet player and someone singing opera outside. I love the sound track of this city. (Most of the time.)

i would love to find a quote that sums up my love for the south with my constant craving for new york city and oh, can we throw in my time at auburn university and maybe my friends and family too? yea. didn't think there was a quote for that.

I hear little kids playing outside - must be field day at Brinker Elementary, overlapped by husky exhaust pipes of pickups and Tahoes rumbling out of the PWHS parking lot for first lunch. I hear a few birds chirping - those that dare approach a house with three cats. And I hear a pair of 3am-ers stirring, catching hold of the fact that it's nearly time to wake up - or as we adults call it - lunchtime!
